April 2008

Due to the extensive workload Crocket having a well deserved rest and Oliver catching up on his mail, hah, hah!!!

Oliver had a big win last Sunday 24 February 2008 with Crocket 18 when he won the Bremen Big Tour with a sizzling jump off.

Oliver has made the move, along with his two horses, to Germany to train with Ludger Beerbaum, undoubtedly currently one of the best trainers and riders in the world.

He was then given the unprecedented honour of being offered a position as one of the work riders at the yard, along with current World champions!

The new season has started with a bang. Oliver took home a fantastic 4th in the CSI*** Badenhausen Grand Prix, rounding out a grand total of 10 double clears this far on Crocket 18. Goofy is also jumping really well, but unfortunately had a silly fence down in the Grand Prix which pushed him out of the placings. Ludger remains impressed with Oliver's progress and looks to great things for him in the future.

Oliver was awarded his full South African colours in June 2006, an honour not awarded since 1998. This also makes him the youngest ever colour recipient.
