Welcome to Oliver James Lazarus’ homepage. I am a highly competitive Protea (Springbok) International showjumper.
I represent South Africa, having gained full South African National Colours from June 2006 in all categories since a child through Juniors to Adult. I have been competing successfully on the European and UK circuits with my talented team of horses and attended two WEG representing SA with great results. Read more..
Always appreciate my sponsors – my helmet sponsorship from KASK and never forgetting my long term very special sponsors EQUILINE and CWD, you are the BEST. My business is now operating fully and I am very excited to have found some top young horses who we are bringing on in a fantastic, relaxed environment with my Swedish business partner, Hilda Lennartsson at her home in Tingsryd, Sweden. Her approach is calming and the youngsters are brought on in a warm and easy way competing regularly without unnecessary pressure – a great way to start their future for bigger things! I am constantly on the road and had some fantastic results in Florida, USA and Spain and now expanding our business from our long term home in Holland.
I have a super young team of horses in Holland now, I am very excited about as long term prospects – my 8 year old grey gelding, BLUE BARON, who will be slowly progressing and LA LE LOUP, a 4 year old bay stallion with lots of prospects and a good attitude. My greatest thrill is the arrival in March 2018 of BUTTERFLY ENNEMMEL, my 7 year old French mare with terrific promise, and in October the lovely young bay mare DIABLESSE joined us – we are hoping for great things with these future super stars. Delighted to have the ride of Georgie’s CAMPINO and some new rides on the horizon and together with my fiancee, Georgie Harvey we have a full schedule competing together at some super top events and holding clinics both at home in South Africa and Australia ….. best of both worlds. We now have our permanent home in Valkenswaard, Holland and started building our state of the art private yard there in 2018, ready for opening later in 2019.
